March 7, 2010: Biswabharati Cricket Club won the 2nd Apin Memorial Cricket Tournament, trouncing Union Sporting by 111 runs in the final at SCB Medical College ground here today. Partha Samal starred in the win, bagging five wickets for 36 runs. Payas Ranjan Sinha and Subit Biswal also made notable contributions for host Biswabharati, scoring 82 and 76 respectively.
The champion team received the top prize of Rs 15,000, while the runners-up were given Rs 10,000. Orissa Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera, SCB Medical College Principal P K Chinara and Choudwar MLA Prabhat Ranjan Biswal gave away the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function.

Biswabharati: 235/10 in 39.2 overs (P R Sinha 82, Subit Biswal 76; Bipin Singh 4/40) beat Union Sporting: 124/10 in 31.2 overs (Sanjeeb Barik 30; Partha Samal 5/36, Satyajeet Das 2/32).
